Join us for this unique presentation by students and faculty of Indiana Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) as they discuss the suitability of a shipping container for the development and creation of a sustainable, self sufficient energy and net zero dorm room for two students on the campus of IUPUI. Learn how they plan for this space to serve as a living, on campus laboratory of green approaches to residential architecture in Indiana.
Panel of Presenters:
Joe Tabas, Project Director of DORMaTECHture, graduate of the Biomedical Engineering Technology program of IUPUI. He has a Master of Science Degree in Technology from IUPUI and is currently pursuing his PhD at Purdue.
David Jan Cowan, PhD, LEED AP, graduate architect (PhD) fromCanada . He is Director of Architectural Technology Program at IUPUI and an Associate Professor. He is also the Director of Service Learning Initiatives for the School of Engineering and Technology.Sandi Perlman, CKD, CR, owner of Blue Ridge Design, LLC. She is an Associate Faculty IUPUI, Interior Design Department.
